Melissa Kelly has been an educator since 1994. She has taught US Government, US History, World History, Economics, and AP Human Geography. She is the author of the Everything New Teachers Book and 151 Tips and Tricks for New Teachers. She is the co-author of the Everything American Presidents Book and Colonial Government with her husband.

Melissa has been writing since a child and was on the path to be a fiction writer when she fell into writing non-fiction. While that might have taken her off her path for a bit, she is so excited to have found her way back to her first love – all with the help of a little boy named Oliver.
